The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It is designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers.
Cavendish uses Pupil Premium to support our pupils for the next stage in their life. This means that we support them academically, to achieve the best that they possibly can, it also means that we encourage aspiration and determination. We achieve this by offering an 'Aspiration Club' where experiences outside school such as University visits and community visits are made available. Our Learning Mentor is also on hand to support our pupils emotionally. This ensures our pupils are not simply targeted academically, but that they are able to succeed at anything they put their mind to.
Our Sports Premium plan and our Pupil Premium plan are reviewed at the end of the Summer term and a new one is implemented in September of each academic year.
